Shenzhen CLOU Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CLOU”) announced last month that it signed a BESS supply contract with a globally well-known energy enterprise (hereinafter referred to as “project company”) for supplying containerized battery energy storage systems in South America. According to the agreement, CLOU will supply 485MWh BESS to the project company, which by far is one of the largest ever to have been announced on the continent.

CLOU’s scope of supply includes 168 sets of 20ft containerized energy storage systems, which adopts its new 1500V pre-installed high-energy ESS platform, featured with long life-cycle, excellent stability, high efficiency, and rapid deployment. The system is compliant with the requirement of UL 9640A certification, offering an effective safeguard for the safe and efficient operation of the project. Upon the successful implementation of the project, it shall become the largest solar + energy storage project on the generation-side of South America with great regional demonstration significance.

The project company employs more than 2,300 people in North, Central, and South America, providing clean power generation, energy storage, digital energy, and renewable energy solution all over the world.

CLOU has become a qualified supplier to the project company since 2021. Before this contract, the two parties have signed another two energy storage projects contracts in America, dated in December 2021 and January 2022, with the capacity of 3MWh and 69MWh respectively. Both contracts currently under smooth delivery.

The successful signing of this project will further deepen the strategic partnership between CLOU and the project company, laying a solid foundation for a more comprehensive, in-depth, and large-scale cooperation afterwards. Additionally, this project will further consolidate CLOU’s market position in the global energy storage industry and bring benchmark effect for the development of a larger market in the future.
